Services

Faith in Action has programs throughout Jefferson County, and surrounding areas in Dodge,
Dane, and Walworth Counties. Faith in Action's services are provided at no cost to our Care
Recipients. All of our volunteers are carefully screened and trained to insure the safety of those
individuals being served. Faith in Action provides a number of non-medical, neighborly type
volunteer services. If you know of someone who needs a service that is not listed here, please
contact us to see if we may be of assistance.

Friendly Visits-Our volunteers can visit with individuals in their homes. Visits may be as
short as 15 minutes, or as long as an hour. Usually these visits are arranged once a
week, but may be more or less frequent, as desired. Respite care may also be available.

Shopping-Volunteers can assist individuals by helping to make shopping lists, then do
the necessary shopping and deliver the items to the Care Recipient. Volunteers may also
accompany Care Recipients to assist with their shopping or other errands. All costs of
items purchased are the responsibility of the Care Recipient.

Transportation-Faith in Action volunteers can provide individuals with rides to church,
the grocery store, doctor's visits, and more.

Yard Work/Snow Removal-Volunteers are available on a limited basis to assist with lawn
mowing and snow removal. Because these volunteers are limited and are assigned for an
entire season, we recommend requesting assistance early in the season.

Meal Preparation/Delivery-Faith in Action volunteers work in Senior Dining Sites in
Rome and in Johnson Creek. Meals are available periodically throughout the week, and
may also be delivered to individuals in their homes. Individuals may also request
assistance with preparing meals in their own homes.

Home Repair-Our Home Repair program does minor repairs, maintenance, and safety
equipment installation in individuals homes. Assistance in constructing wheelchair ramps
is available on a limited basis. All supply costs are the responsibility of the Care Recipient.
