Join us for a day of learning and inspiration as we explore End-of-Life Issues with:

Maggie Callanan
Maggie Callanan is a nurse with more than 25 years of experience in providing end-of-life
care.  She is also the author of the well known book "Final Gifts".  
Callanan will discuss lessons her upcoming book (due out in March),
"Final Journeys: A Practical Guide for Bringing Care and Comfort at the End of Life".  The
presentation will walk with the dying person and family through the journey of dying as a
companion and advocate.  From the entry, through the pitfalls and potholes that are
typically encountered along the way; specific problems will be addressed to assist and
empower the terminally ill and their family in their unique journey.

Maria Dancing Heart

Maria Dancing Heart is a spiritual director with a diverse background.  Her book
"The Last Adventure of Life: Sacred Resources for Transition"
addresses the issue of helping individuals from all walks of life become more
comfortable with the dying process and death itself.  Rev. Dancing Heart Hoaglund will
reflect on how she has learned to breathe new life into grief and death through her
profound experiences with hospice.  May we together find new ways to renew our spirits
and vision as we hear and share stories, wisdom, and healing tools around the Final
Transition and the grief and healing process.

This year you will be able to choose the breakouts you wish to attend at the time that you
register.  Breakouts will include topics addressing Alzheimer's Disease, Talking to
Families about End-of-Life Issues, Identifying and Addressing Barriers to providing
Quality End-of-Life Care, and more.
 Please note that some breakout sessions have been
closed and further registrations for those sessions will not be accepted.  There is still room
in at least one breakout for each session.

The conference will take place at the Johnson Creek Comfort Suites,
725 Paradise Lane, Johnson Creek, WI 53038.

Registration is $80 for the entire full-day conference, including breakfast and lunch.
CEU Certificates will be available for an additional $5 fee.
